Ocean Warrior Program

Toes in the sand, wind in the hair, young minds at work.

In 2018, the Kindergarten classes commenced visits to our nearby beach. During these visits, children were able to investigate the natural coastal surroundings by building sand castles, searching for shells and learning about the diverse ecosystem.

These sessions are also attended by various community members including Surf Lifesaving Volunteers, Environmental Centre Staff, Wildlife Carers and Creative Recycling. The Kindergarten children’s learning is enhanced through the extension of our usual class setting to the beach.
